New Mexico Dental Association

Contact details and membership information for the professional dental association serving dentists in New Mexico.

The New Mexico Dental Association (NMDA), founded in 1908 — four years before New Mexico statehood — is the state's affiliate of the American Dental Association (ADA) and one of New Mexico's oldest professional organizations. NMDA is governed by a board of officers and trustees, all of whom are licensed dentists.

NMDA's stated mission is to promote oral and general health care in New Mexico, advance the art and science of dentistry, represent the interests of dental professionals, and foster awareness of the profession's obligations to society. NMDA also notes that member dental practices contribute millions of dollars and thousands of jobs to the state's economy each year.

  • Fiesta NMDA 2026 — the annual dental convention at Hotel Albuquerque, May 28–30, offering CE courses, hands-on learning, networking, and exhibitor experiences
  • Building a Foundation of Wellness Series — CE programming focused on dentist wellness
  • Peer Review / mediation — a free dispute-resolution service for patients of NMDA member dentists
  • POWER 2030 — a 15-point action plan for improving oral health access across New Mexico
  • Hesy-Re — job postings, career opportunities, practices for sale, and equipment listings for New Mexico dental professionals
