Virginia dental license fees are set by regulation and vary by credential type. Under 18VAC60-21-240(A) and 18VAC60-25-180(A), active or inactive dentist and dental hygienist licenses renew annually in the licensee's birth month. Faculty licenses, temporary resident's licenses, restricted volunteer licenses, and temporary permits renew on or before June 30 each year, and mobile clinic/portable dental operation permits renew by December 31.

No fee is refunded or applied to any purpose other than the one for which it was submitted.
