Delaware State Dental Society

Contact details and membership information for the professional dental association serving dentists in Delaware.

The Delaware State Dental Society (DSDS) is the professional membership organization for dentists in Delaware, affiliated with the American Dental Association. DSDS supports members through advocacy, continuing education, networking, and community outreach, and operates a Kent-Sussex component (KSDS) alongside its statewide executive council.

For patients, DSDS's public resources include:

  • A Find a Dentist directory
  • A directory of dental clinics and emergency dental resources
  • A specialists directory
  • Dental health resources for seniors, and a University of Delaware mentoring program

DSDS is active in state legislative advocacy: during the 2026 session, DSDS leadership submitted stakeholder input on Senate Bill 283 — the law expanding dental hygienists' scope of practice — noting the bill was developed in consultation with dental stakeholders and recommending a new Southern Delaware dental hygiene education program to grow the workforce.
