The Nevada Dental Association (NDA) has served Nevada's dental community since 1969. Its mission is described as being "the voice and advocate for oral health care in Nevada," promoting the highest standards of care and professional excellence through education, leadership, and communication, while preserving the integrity of the profession and the doctor/patient relationship.
NDA membership is tripartite: joining the NDA also makes a dentist a member of the American Dental Association and their local component society — the Southern Nevada Dental Society, Northern Nevada Dental Society, or Northeast Nevada Dental Society.
Member programs and services
- Advocacy — the NDA lobbies the Nevada Legislature and participates in ADA-level advocacy on oral health policy
- Peer review — local component societies (e.g., the Southern Nevada Dental Society) offer a peer review process for patient care disputes
- Insurance — TDIC (The Dentists Insurance Company) is the NDA's endorsed insurance partner for professional and business coverage
- Practice savings — member discounts on dental supplies through TDSC.com and other endorsed vendor programs
- Publications — the NDA Journal (quarterly) and an NDA Newsletter keep members informed on legislation, Board rule changes, and events
- Charitable programs — members can earn CE credit through volunteer programs such as Give Kids A Smile
Contact the NDA at 600 E. William Street, Ste 202, Carson City, NV 89701, phone 775-558-9404, or online at nvda.org.
