The New York State Dental Association (NYSDA) is the statewide professional membership organization for New York dentists and a constituent society of the American Dental Association. NYSDA represents approximately 11,000 members across 13 local dental societies, connecting practitioners to the ADA's roughly 163,000-member national organization through dentistry's tripartite membership structure.
Member benefits
- CE Navigator — a member tool to track continuing education progress and find qualifying courses for New York renewal requirements (a hygienist-specific version is also available)
- Member Assistance Program (MAP) — free, confidential short-term counseling and resources for mental health, stress management, financial wellness, and life coaching, available to members, their households, and office staff
- Advocacy — NYSDA represents member interests before the Legislature and state regulators. Recent results include successfully advocating for Chapter 682 of the Laws of 2025 (dental hygiene collaborative practice) and tracking the state's new CBCT imaging regulations (10 NYCRR § 16.65) on behalf of members
NYSDA members can join or renew simultaneously with the ADA, NYSDA, and their local dental society. More information is available at nysdental.org, by phone at 518-465-0044 (Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.), or by mail at 20 Corporate Woods Blvd. #602, Albany, New York 12211.
