Under Wyoming Statute § 33-15-109(a), dentists must submit a renewal application and fee on or before December 31 of every second (odd-numbered) year. This biennial cycle replaced annual renewal following 2021 amendments to the Dental Practice Act. Dentist and hygienist renewals are accepted starting October 1 of the renewal year, and any license not renewed by December 31 enters a three-month administrative grace period (January 1 through March 31 of the following year) during which the licensee may not practice until the renewal is received. After March 31, licensees must instead file a Restoration or Relicensure application.

If a license lapses past the grace period, a dentist must file for Relicensure ($370.00). A hygienist whose license lapses must file for Restoration ($190.00, available April 1 through December 31 of the following year); after that window closes, Relicensure ($190.00) is required instead. A license verification letter, used to confirm Wyoming licensure to another jurisdiction or employer, costs $25.00.
