The Nebraska Dental Association (NDA), founded in 1865, is a non-profit professional organization representing more than 1,000 member dentists statewide across all areas of dentistry. The NDA is the state component of a tripartite structure in which members belong simultaneously to the American Dental Association, the NDA, and a local component society such as the Omaha District Dental Society. The NDA is governed by a 10-member Board of Trustees and a House of Delegates.
The NDA's mission is to encourage improvement of public health, promote the art and science of dentistry, and represent the interests of both its members and the public it serves. Its member services and advocacy work include:
- State and national advocacy, including on dental insurance reform and dental loss ratio (DLR) requirements for insurance carriers, coordinated through NEDPAC
- Continuing education programming, including its Annual Session and member CE resources
- Medicaid resources and a Dental Medicaid Collaborative for member dentists
- ADA Member Advantage discounts and an NDA Health Insurance Alliance for members
- The Nebraska Dental Foundation's Veteran's Mission of Mercy (VetMOM) charitable clinics
Contact the NDA at 7160 South 29th Street, Ste. 1, Lincoln, NE 68516, phone 402-476-1704, or visit nedental.org.
