The North Dakota Dental Association (NDDA) is the professional membership organization for North Dakota dentists. Established in 1889, the NDDA is a constituent organization of the American Dental Association organized into five component districts — Central, Northeast, Northwest, Missouri Slope & West Slope, and Southeast — and represents over 87% of the state's practicing dentists.
The NDDA's mission is: "The North Dakota Dental Association is a leading advocate of oral health, promoting education and service to its members and the public." The Association is a private organization, separate from the NDSBDE, and dentists are not required to join it to practice in North Dakota.
- Advocacy — represents member and public oral-health interests before the North Dakota Legislature.
- Continuing education — hosts CE opportunities including its Annual Session and Mid-Winter Meeting.
- Mission of Mercy — coordinates volunteer, low-cost dental care events across the state.
- Ethics and professional community — members commit to the Association's code of professional conduct and connect with colleagues through its five district societies.
