The New Hampshire Dental Society (NHDS) is the professional membership organization for New Hampshire dentists and an ADA tripartite affiliate. Its stated purpose is to assist members in providing and promoting the highest professional levels of oral health care for the citizens they serve, to disseminate knowledge pertaining to the advancement of health, and to serve as an advocate for the advancement of the dental profession.
Member programs and services
- Annual Meeting — NHDS's flagship CE and networking event. The 2026 Annual Meeting, "It's All Connected: Dentistry's Role in Whole-Body Health," was held May 28–29 at Church Landing at Mill Falls in Meredith, New Hampshire.
- Continuing education — course offerings help members satisfy the Board's biennial CE requirements.
- Legislative advocacy — NHDS represents member interests before the New Hampshire Legislature and OPLC on dental practice law and rules, including recent scope-of-practice and licensure legislation.
- NHDS Qualified Dental Assisting Program and Radiography Training Program — training pathways for dental assistants.
- NHDS Professional Denture Care Program and community resources for the public, including a directory of low-cost dental care options.
