New Hampshire dentists and dental hygienists renew on a biennial (every 2 years) cycle under RSA 317-A:13 and Den 401. Renewal is completed online through the OPLC renewal portal, which can also be used to check the status of a pending renewal.

Under RSA 317-A:15-a, a lapsed license is reinstated once the applicant meets renewal eligibility requirements and pays the registration fee, a late fee, and the reinstatement fee. Licensees who do not actively practice in New Hampshire within 2 years of their last biennial registration are moved to the Board's inactive list and must continue to register biennially at the inactive rate (RSA 317-A:16).
