Contact details and membership information for the professional dental association serving dentists in South Carolina.

The South Carolina Dental Association (SCDA) is the professional membership organization for South Carolina dentists, representing more than 2,000 member dentists statewide. Its stated mission is to "optimize public health by advancing the art and science of dentistry," and its vision is to advocate for oral healthcare excellence and advance the profession of dentistry in South Carolina.

Advocacy and member programs

  • Legislative advocacy — SCDA maintains relationships with state legislators, operates a political action committee (DenPAC), and works with a lobbying team to monitor and influence dentistry-related legislation and regulation, including collaboration with the Board of Dentistry
  • Continuing education — SCDA hosts CE courses and events, including simulation-based clinical courses, that help members meet Board renewal requirements
  • Community programs — SCDA supports donated dental services, community dental clinics, a Recovering Professional Program, and a Rural Incentive Program for members
  • Practice resources — publications, practice-management guidance, and a Find-a-Dentist directory for the public
