All Massachusetts dental license fees are processed online through the Health Professions Licensing Portal and are non-refundable and non-transferable. Dentists, dental hygienists, and dental assistants each renew on a 2-year cycle.

A $57.00 late renewal fee applies once, in addition to the renewal fee, to any license not renewed on time. Licensees who exceed the 90-day grace period after expiration must follow the Board's reactivation process rather than the standard renewal flow, which requires proof of all CEUs owed for each lapsed cycle in addition to the renewal and late fees.
