The Minnesota Dental Association (MDA) is the statewide professional membership organization for Minnesota-licensed dentists and dental students, representing more than 3,000 member dentists. The MDA is affiliated with the American Dental Association (ADA) through a tripartite membership structure: eight local district dental societies, the state-level MDA, and the national ADA.
Advocacy and member services
- Legislative advocacy — the MDA represents members at the State Capitol on scope-of-practice and public oral-health-and-safety issues, and engages with regulatory agencies and third-party payers on behalf of members.
- Continuing education — the MDA's "Total CE" series offers webinars and in-person sessions throughout the year designed to help members meet Board professional development requirements.
- DentalCareers.US — an MDA-launched marketplace for dental jobs, practice sales, and recruiting.
- Compliance Minute — a monthly e-bulletin on compliance topics for dental teams.
