Mississippi Dental Association

The Mississippi Dental Association (MDA) is the statewide, tripartite professional membership organization for Mississippi dentists, representing more than 60% of the state's licensed dentists. MDA members are also members of the American Dental Association and their local community dental district, organized across six MDA districts statewide.

The MDA's stated mission is to:

• Encourage the improvement of the oral health of the public
• Enhance members' ability to provide care to the public through education, training, and service
• Promote the science of dentistry

Member benefits and programs

• Advocacy — the MDA represents Mississippi dentistry before the Legislature and regulatory agencies through the MS Dental PAC and legislative tracking tools.
• Continuing education — the MDA Annual Dental Meeting, district meetings, and a dedicated Young Dentist CE event help members meet renewal requirements.
• Patient dispute resolution — the MDA operates a free mediation and peer-review process for patients with treatment concerns involving an active MDA member dentist.
