The Oklahoma Dental Association (ODA) is the statewide professional membership organization for Oklahoma dentists and dental students. As a tripartite organization, ODA members also belong to the American Dental Association and their local component dental society.
Member programs and advocacy
- Continuing education — the ODA is an AGD PACE-approved CE provider and hosts an annual meeting along with other CE events throughout the year.
- Mediation Review — the ODA offers a review/mediation program for dentist-patient disputes.
- Advocacy — the ODA lobbies on dental legislation through its DENPAC political action committee, supports community water fluoridation, and is currently active on non-covered-services legislation.
- Public resources — a Find-a-Dentist directory and a list of free and low-cost dental clinics for patients.
- Charitable care — the ODA supports the Oklahoma Mission of Mercy, a large-scale charitable dental clinic event.
The ODA also runs a Crisis Support program for members and a Relief and Disaster Grant Program. More information is available at okda.org.
