Ohio Dental License Renewal

Fees, deadlines, and what's required to renew a dental license in Ohio.
All Ohio dental fees are paid online through eLicense Ohio. Dentist and dental hygienist licenses are issued for a two-year (biennial) term and expire exactly two years from the date of issuance; the online renewal application opens 90 days before the expiration date.

Fee waivers are available to service members, veterans, and their spouses under OAC § 4715-14-02, and the Board has statutory authority to excuse licensed dentists and hygienists — individually or as a group — from all or part of the continuing education requirement for a renewal cycle.
