South Dakota Dental License Renewal

Updated August 2026

Fees, deadlines, and what's required to renew a dental license in South Dakota.

Unlike states that renew on a multi-year cycle, South Dakota dental licenses and registrations renew annually by July 1 — continuing education, by contrast, is tracked on a rolling five-year cycle. Renewal is completed through the Board's online licensee portal, and a licensee must have a current CPR (BLS) card on file with the Board to renew.
