Oregon Dental License Renewal

Fees, deadlines, and what's required to renew a dental license in Oregon.

Oregon dental licenses renew every two years (biennially) through the Board's online portal at online.oregondentistry.org. Current fees were set by permanent rule filing OBD 2-2025 (OAR 818-001-0087), effective December 1, 2025, following the Legislature's approval of the Board's 2025–2027 budget.

  • Dental Hygiene Expanded Practice Permit: $75.00
  • Restorative Functions, EFDA, EFODA, and Anesthesia Dental Assistant certifications: $50.00 each

Late renewal and reinstatement (OAR 818-021-0085)

A license expired more than four years cannot be reinstated — the holder must apply for licensure under the Board's current rules and statutes. Licensees may not practice with an expired license, even while renewal paperwork is pending.

Active duty military Oregon dental and dental hygiene license fees are waived for licensees on active duty military status. Select “Active Duty Military” as the payment method during online renewal and submit documentation of status from your commanding officer.
